Rob Leaves Kid vs Hero

Hello everyone,
you are probably wondering why the band's myspace page is different and looks broken...
I have made the decision to leave Kid vs Hero. It wasn't a decision made lightly, but after a lot of thought, careful consideration and talking for a while with Kevin and the rest of the band.
What it came down to was the inability to continue to work on a positive level with Chris. Every little details seemed to cause issues between us and the relentless arguing and bickering was getting on my nerves. After a phone call the other day, where the arguing again continued, I told him that I was done. I no longer wanted to deal with the pointless, relentless arguing.

I had been contemplating the change also because the style of music we were playing towards the end did not reflect at all the style I had in mind when I started the band back in april.
After I told them I quit, our new bassist Josh also made the choice to leave the band, though he didn't give a direct reason.

As for Kevin and Chris, I am not sure what their plan is. Perhaps they will continue to work as Kid vs Hero, maybe it's the end of the band that barely got started, though we did play some rather sweet shows.

Meanwhile, keep an eye out for www.myspace.com/tylergahnmusic it is a new band that I am starting with a good, very talented friend of mine...We are in the very early stages of still writing and working on the music but plan to be ready to play shows here very soon...

Take Care.
Rob

Recording News

Hey we felt it was important to update you all on what's going on!
We made the decision to self-produce our debut album, and it's going very well. Kevin has finished up his drums for all the tracks, and Josh has just completed the bass parts! All that's left is for Chris to finish up some guitar parts, and for Rob to record all of his parts...which will be done tomorrow sometime!

We made the decision to move away from any large studio and into our own for three reason:
The First;
The expense of what we were planning to do far outweighed what was realistic for where we want to be in the very near future.
The Second;
We truly wanted to do a full album, but didn't have the funding to do this, and settled on (at the time) a three song sampler.
The Third;
We wanted to emerse ourselves in the music, we all have audio production backgrounds, and have confidence that our full album will turn out just how we want it to!

So what's that mean for you?
NEW SONGS COMING SOON!

Wow I've been a busy lately!

So some news on my part for ya,
I've been working every freakin day usually 8:00am-11:00pm which is wearing me out a bit...on the nights I get home earlier, Tyler has been coming over to work on the album together, and let me just say how excited I am for the direction and great the songs are turning out...we are on step 3 of about 50 lol but the end will be worth it!

I go in on sunday to record all of my guitar parts for Kid vs Hero. Our album is coming out soon too, we just have to finish it. I'm very excited to hear what the guys have done without me these past few weeks, I just read on the KvH blog that Kevin has his drumparts done, and Josh is already done with bass! now it's just down to chris and I...

It's a lot of work lately but two great music projects coming out with new music very soon, one band I'm going to be mixing & mastering our self-produced album, the other band I'll be helping with co-writes and the song development and selecting the right studio (we have a few in mind) and then taking the rest of the project from there...album design, printing, pressing, releasing to the media, booking the first show for Tyler....it's gonna be sweet!

I feel like if I had a week off I would have everything done by now...oh well more fun to come in the weeks ahead!

Later, I need tea then I'm off to work
